Decompression Table

What is Spinal Decompression Therapy?

Spinal decompression therapy, also known as non-surgical spinal decompression, that uses spinal decompression tables to relieve pain. The Spinal Decompression table works by moving bulging or herniated disc tissue back into place and heal, alleviating the pain this condition causes.

Patients are strapped to the table using a harness, with other props such as pillows used to keep the patient comfortable and the spine in the correct position for decompression. This non-surgical procedure includes sensors in the spinal decompression table that indicate whether a patient’s muscles are resisting the stretch being applied by the table. Our Chiropractors will explain and monitor changes in the spinal decompression table every step of the way. Our patients feel immediate relief once pressure is applied gently and effectively to relieve pain in the spine.

Candidates for Spinal Decompression Therapy:

Do you suffer from the following neck, upper, and lower back related issues?

  • Bulging Disc
  • Herniated Disc
  • Failed Back Surgery

If you are not sure whether or not you suffer from any of these, then please schedule an appointment to have our Chiropractors determine whether or not spinal decompression therapy using a spinal decompression table is right for you.

What are the Benefits of Spinal Decompression Therapy?

Our patients feel immediate pain relief after the first treatment but may need additional sessions depending on the severity of their back pain. Our Chiropractors will evaluate and recommend other non-surgical therapies as needed to ensure that you are on the road to long-term healing.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Moshe Laub, DC

Founding Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Laub is the founder of West Hartford Chiropractic and Wellness. Beginning his medical career as an army paramedic, he then went on to become a Physical Therapist. In Israel, he founded a Sports Medicine Institute and spearheaded one of the first research teams, exploring the effects of Glucosamine Sulfate in the treatment of lower back pain. Another important research into the management of lower back pain and pregnancy that he conducted, was the first of its kind and essentially led him to his sub specialty of Women's Health and Pediatrics. Dr. Laub's quest to treat the person as a whole and the underlying cause of disease, inspired him to study Chiropractic in Canada. Returning to Israel, he directed the Chiropractic division of an integrative medicine department in a major hospital, while running a private practice. Upon moving to the United States, he taught Chiropractic at University of Bridgeport. He then went on to found West Hartford Chiropractic and Wellness, a multi-disciplinary practice where he unites the best of alternative and allopathic medicine.

Dr. Laub uses a 'whole person approach'. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be the cause of the symptoms at the time) and making whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Laub is able to help you accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
